Mushroom picking is another activity organized, from September through November, by La Corte di Langa. Mushroom, especially the "Boletus" variety (Porcino, in Italian), are the object of festivities, parties, picking tours and seminars, organized by mycologists in different villages on and around the Western Alps. The "49th Mostra del Fungo", organized by the "Gruppo Micologico Cebano" is held in Ceva from the 15th through the 19th of September 2010. It includes mushroom picking activities with guides, mushroom identification courses and seminars. Unfortunately all of this is in Italian. Ceva is a charming village along the Torino-Savona toll road about 30 Km from La Corte di Langa.
Giaveno is another village locate a few Km from Torino, hoist of the 2006 Winter Olympics which organizes a well organized "Festa del Fungo" from October 3rd to the 12th. Giaveno is another charming village in the Valle di Susa, 115 Km North-West of La Corte di Langa.
